New in Term 1: Metafit & Masters Class

Three weekly Metafit sessions and a new program for seniors are just some of the exciting changes to the group classes at Nick Hose Fitness in term one.

Nick said Metafit was introduced during the current summer holidays and there was enough demand to schedule three sessions in term one, which begins on January 30.

“Metafit has become very popular everywhere and was an obvious addition to our first timetable for 2017,” he said.

“It combines traditional bodyweight exercises, with high intensity interval training to create a 30-minute workout that our clients are really enjoying.

“Metafit is adaptable for all fitness levels and abilities and because Hanna choreographs it to music it’s a lot of fun as well.”

Nick said quite a few of the classes had changed for term one and he urged people to check the new timetable on the website.

“We’re having a break from Spin classes. With the warmer weather it’s a better time of the year for cyclists to hit the open roads instead,” he said.

“We’ve also swapped the boys and girls Kids Fit sessions around so that we didn’t clash with other sporting activities in town and we’ve made them a bit longer as well.

“Other changes include the session times for our popular Ladies Only Circuit and we’re not offering Mums and Bubs this term.”

Nick said the new Masters Class was an opportunity for seniors to safely and effectively workout together in a social environment.

“The exercises are specifically designed to help seniors improve their cardiovascular system, maintain and improve bone density and improve balance,” he said.

“Our qualified personal trainers work with physiotherapists and doctors to ensure everyone exercises safely and gains the best results, specific to them.

“Exercising also lowers the risk of developing serious conditions such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, diabetes, obesity, heart disease and colon cancer, to name a few.”
