Masters Class is growing in popularity at Nick Hose Fitness, but to help even more older people experience what it has to offer we’ve decided to hold two free ‘come and try’ sessions in between our term 3 and term 4 timetables.
If you or someone you know would like to get more active, come and try Masters Class for FREE at 10am on Tuesday, September 26 and/or Tuesday, October 3.
Masters Class is a 45 minute group circuit designed to help older people exercise safely and effectively. If you enjoy the free sessions, we’d love you to sign up for Term 4 and continue the good work right through to December 22.
Camperdown’s Nola Reading is full of praise for the class. In the past she had attended swimming sessions in both Colac and Cobden, but said she was looking for a change and now loved working out at Nick Hose Fitness.
“I like the challenge and having the support and Hanna (Fleming) here to make sure I’m doing things properly and safely,” she said.
“It’s nice to feel like you’re working hard and I like going home feeling like I’ve had a proper workout. It’s also fun and social and it just suits me to come once a week and get active in the gym instead of the pool.”
The benefits of Masters Class include;
- Improved cardiovascular function, lowering the risk of heart disease and high blood pressure.
- Increased strength and bone density, improving balance and reducing the risk of osteoporosis and broken bones.
- Reduced risk of chronic conditions such as cancer, alzheimers, dementia, diabetes, obesity and heart disease.
- Improved mental health through exercise and social interaction with other people.
Term 4 is the perfect time to try our Group Classes with the 11 week timetable leading straight into Christmas and the Summer holiday period.
